Video for "Pajarito"
Here is a new video. It's for the track "Pajarito", which is the lead-off track on my forthcoming album Flow.
The video was shot by me using my Kodak Easyshare-One digital camera in movie mode (30 fps, 640x480). Conversion from MOV to AVI was performed by Kate's Video Converter, which is free.
The video was assembled using Windows Movie Maker with the video's audio track muted and the audio balance pushed 100% towards the imported audio file of Pajarito. Despite this, some audio artifacts from the shoot have crept into the video at the beginning, but I kind of like the extra added effects so I left it in.
The video was encoded at a high broadband rate (512kb) and shrunk down to 320x240. No video effects were used other than fade-to-black at the end, as I thought the results caused by compression and resizing were lovely enough, particularly around 2 minutes before the end where things get grainy.
I don't like editing video. The few cuts were done out of necessity because of the way the original video was shot in several takes. The ambient-drifting nature of my more recent music works very well with long continuous takes, a style in which I will explore more in future videos.
