
Iowa Ambient Musician To Soundtrack Drawing Exhibition Opening

(PRLEAP.COM) Mark Rushton, the
ambient/electronica musician and podcaster from Cedar Rapids, will be
providing an ambient soundtrack via CD to the opening of the Figuratively
Speaking Art Exhibition, which features over 40 drawings by 22 artists and
is put on by the Coe College Drawing Group. The opening reception takes
place on October 7th from 7 – 8:30pm on the first floor of the Cherry
Building at 329 10th Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 14 piece of music will make up the CD, which will also include three recent live ambient/improv tracks recently recorded in Iowa City with bass player Jon Harnish. Rushton has no plans to release this recording commercially, although some of the music is available on his other CDs.
