The Siamese Twin Sunflower

Like Chang and Eng, the famous conjoined twins in the 19th century, we have what I call a 'Siamese Sunflower' in our garden.  It was just discovered today in bloom.  I had seen the sunflower blooming for a couple of days but hadn't noticed that it had 'two' heads.  Ann discovered it today, July 13, 2001.

Here's a shot of the back.

A closer shot from the front.  It's quite a beautiful sunflower!

Looking up, more directly into the conjoined heads.
