A New Fence
May 15th we got a new fence in the back yard!  We had planned this for a long time.  Cook Fence of Cedar Rapids is doing the work and we are very happy with it so far!  It's a two day job.

We had a chain-link fence installed in the back yard.  We could only go out so far due to the city's easement, so we chose to go behind our already-planted bushes (lilac, viburnam, and burning bush) since they'll shield the view of the chain-link from the street.

Between the house and garage we are having a 6' cedar privacy fence with gate installed.  Same thing for the north end of the house by our hosta garden.  Hopefully this will stop all the deer from getting into our yard and eating everything in sight.  It also allows our girls to roam around without us worrying about them getting away or running into the street.
