Our Gardens, April 14, 2001

Everything is green!!!  Temps were warm this past week, 60's and lower 70's.  Old man winter should be making one last appearance next week.  Mostly doing garden prep as the last "final frost" date is usually April 30th or thereabouts.

Tulips (left) with possibly some alyssum seeding.  Daffodils (right) finally blooming.

Sedum is coming up.  This is our old Kansas City sedum (appx 1993-1994).  It's been split off a couple times.  Time to do it again!

Transplants galore.  To make way for our extended herb garden, I transplanted various grasses (left) next to the garage by the compost bin (and also at the end of the yard, not pictured).  I also transplanted some lamb's ear, old daisies, and tanzy (and possibly some Irish grass?) on the other side (right)

Ann's brother Tom brought over a tiller one evening.  Got the veggie beds completed (left), and the extended herb garden (right) done as well.

 Some of Ann's strawberry plants.
